Starting Young With Lego's
When I was little, I would often sneak over to the computer mouse or home phone and take it all apart. I would sit in my room, with the pieces scatters all over the floor, and then I would have fun putting the whole object back together from scrap. My poor parents would come to the computer, without being able to use it, or they would be needing to make an important phone call and then realize that the phone was in disrepair. Lego's were also a big part of my early life. In the beginning, I was building castles and, towards the end, I started building space ships with multiple ships in one, removable ceilings, and secret doors and passage ways,.
Moving On to Bigger Objects
For a while, after I grew out of building Lego ships, I went on not knowing how to continue my love for building. Building things is one of my favorite things to do. It is a part of me. So, I was searching for quite a while on what to do with my spare time. I entered High School and found exactly what I was looking for. When I heard that there was a boat building class available in the High School Pi program, I leapt at the opportunity! I have had a fun time in that class with my mentor, Jim, ever since I joined, learning new things every week. I still have to work on my hammering, though, because I accidentally hit my mentor's fingers repeatedly during the process.
